Kirk LaPointe, the writer and government editor of Enterprise in Vancouver, has left the Canadian enterprise publication.
He had been with BIV since October 2015, first as vice-president, viewers and enterprise growth, then as editor-in-chief, following a three-decade profession as a senior supervisor in Canadian media.
LaPointe is the previous government director of the Group of Information Ombudsmen. In 2014 he ran for mayor of Vancouver beneath the banner of the Non-Partisan Affiliation.
He was beforehand the writer and editor-in-chief at Self-Counsel Press. He’s the previous CBC Ombudsman of English Providers and held the senior editorial roles at CTV Information, The Hamilton Spectator and Southam Information.
He was the founding government editor of Nationwide Publish, managing editor of The Vancouver Solar, Ottawa bureau chief and normal information editor at The Canadian Press, and host on CBC Newsworld, amongst different media roles.
